What was the challenge?
Nijobfinder approached us with a need to rebuild, redesign and reimagine their online recruitment portal. Searching habits had changed, greater speed of use was expected, it was being viewed across more devices than ever and new commercial opportunities were being sought.
The reimagined website was designed to be fully responsive to ensure a great user experience for job seekers across desktop, tablet and mobile.
The complete rebrand and redesign that was applied to the site, reflects the geographic market that nijobfinder operates in, showcasing well known landmarks and attractions, in beautiful hand-drawn form that match perfectly with the brand.
Specific focus was placed on building out a best in class ‘jobs search’ – with the search function being very much the primary purpose of the website. User research and search input analysis had identified the variations in types of searches users were conducting – from simple google like job title and company searches, to more complex searches comprising multiple company names, job roles, salaries and locations, amongst others. To best support this, the search function was built using a technology called ‘Elastic Search’. This powerful set up permits the site to handle all variations of search including fuzzy searches, partial matching and prediction with ease.
Other new features launched include:
enhanced tracking across all application methods for recruiters
application management and tracking for job seekers
a dedicated careers section providing advice and guidance
new promotional and upsell opportunities for showcasing jobs
