Our Remote First Principles
We are not remote friendly here at gcd. We’re remote first! Whilst our team have the choice to work where suits them best (be that at home, in the office or a mixture of both), our ways of working, our processes, our tools and our methods and approaches to communication have all been specifically designed to support remote working first – thus ensuring that every employee, regardless of their location, has the same experience and opportunity at gcd.
We empower our employees to work remotely. We put asynchronous communication and tools at the fore. We have designed our work processes and tools specifically to give office based and remote based employees an equal footing. We keep in person meetings to a minimum, preferring text, voice/video calls and recording. We provide the best tech and software to support video calls and meetings. We provide information in channels that are digitally available to all. We require all decisions to be communicated in a way that is accessible to everyone, regardless of their location.
We are ‘remote’ first, not second!
