We’re delighted to introduce our newest recruit, Ene Keenan who joined our team as a Solutions Consultant. His role is to ensure the best innovative solutions and outcomes for clients. He is the first person to meet a client and can help shape a solution or extend their strategy to digital.
We’re very excited to have him join our team so let’s get to know him a bit better.
Hey Ene!
What is your background in digital and technology?
I’d describe myself as a creative and technologist. I love technology because of the human element. What tech can help with and what it can create. I used to run events, do arts marketing, and work on festivals in the first part of my career. For over a decade I’ve been working in all manner of digital strategy and delivery.
I have worked with all sorts of clients and industries. My experiences have instilled a love of integrating digital apps and websites into real life needs and tasks. I like to ask why we are making what we make and what good it can achieve. Each solution is like an idea or event that you build towards and then launch. Hopefully with the audience enjoying themselves as much as possible. Or at the very least giving them an easier interaction with us. I love to see the finished product on screen.
How have your first few weeks at GCD been?
I’ve dived headfirst and made some really lovely connections with the team and some tea. Lots of tea. Everyone is passionate and professional. There is a good dose of humour as well. Which is important in this industry.
What is your favourite part about being a Solutions Consultant?
I’m the first person a client meets and I get to understand their needs. This means I can really own positive strategic outcomes and ensure they get the best output we can produce. Whether that be an improved digitised service, a full digital product or a wee bit of transformation for their business to stand out.
What type of clients are you most excited to get working with?
I’ve worked in a wide range of industries; automotive, tax, gaming, beverages, healthcare, insurance, housing, e-learning, and public sector. The list is endless. I’m really excited to work with clients who need what we do. I think that’s the best match. Working with clients who we can really help. I find each client’s challenges are the same but different. I get to learn, improve and help them better each time.
What hobbies do you have?
My favourite hobby is being a dad. My other hobbies are around being energetic enough to keep up with family life. I love a wee bit of distance running. Lifting myself up and down things. I’m closing out my fourth decade this year. I can do a handstand and a pull up for the first time. Life goals!
I’ve climbed 3 out of the 7 Mourne mountains. I hope to climb all 7 before I’m in my fifth decade. 😊
Any interesting facts?
I have never met someone with the same first name as me. I have talked to them on the phone though.
