The Challenge
ScaleX™ Talent Solutions understood the challenges in the fast-moving world of recruitment. One of the biggest issues? Finding and connecting with top talent. Just under 80% of people felt disengaged at work (Gallup, 2024), often due to feeling disconnected from the company values or goals or lacking a clear sense of purpose. So the real question became: How do you tap into that potential and connect these individuals with companies where they can truly thrive?
On top of that, ScaleX™ Talent Solutions wasn’t just looking to fill roles—they wanted to shake up the traditional recruitment model, especially for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). But they were working with manual, time-consuming processes that weren’t scalable. That raised another important question: What digital tools and strategies could help bring their vision to life?
The Solution
To help answer these questions, we embarked on a four week Discovery Sprint. During the two collaborative workshops, everyone has the opportunity for their voice to be heard—from leadership to team members across the board. This empowers everyone to share their ideas.
Creating an inclusive environment meant the GCD team could really listen, ask the right questions and gently challenge existing thinking using insights grounded in research. Through it all, the team stayed focused on the key goals, always guiding the conversation back to what really mattered.
Together, we ideated a bold solution, a mobile-first careers portal that would match candidates with companies based on shared values, not just skills or experience. Candidates would create video-based profiles to showcase who they are beyond a CV, while companies could share their culture in a more human way. To make the experience even more engaging, an AI-powered chat function would guide users, answer questions and create a more interactive journey—for both sides of the hiring equation.
The Results
At the end of the sprint, ScaleX™ Talent Solutions walked away with a working prototype—a clear, concrete version of the solution they’d been imagining. The process has helped validate their vision and gave them a solid roadmap for what’s next.
Their confidence in the project has increased, they have a new sense of clarity around their decisions and feel energised by the progress. The Discovery Sprint helped turn a complex challenge into a meaningful, forward-moving plan.
