The last few months have been busy, we’ve undergone some office rebranding (soon to be revealed), we attended a few industry events including the NI Chamber’s Annual Networking Event and launched our recruitment campaign that included billboard advertising on the Westlink, social media and local press coverage. As a result of that very successful campaign, we are delighted to welcome two new team members. Read on to learn a bit more about them.
Dave has the majority of his life working in music and broadcasting, before he decided to take a leap into the software industry.
He’s joined GCD as a Junior Developer straight out of completing a masters degree in Software Development. Outside of work, when he’s not trying to learn new things, he likes to spend his time playing board games (no, not Monopoly) and basketball….just not at the same time. Interestingly, he has been known to subject his greyhound, Willow to the odd song on a walk too!
Next up is Tiago, he hails from Portugal but has had the pleasure of living in the UK for almost four years. He tried Northern Ireland for a while but thought London would be better, but of course he missed NI and decided to promptly return.
Tiago’s family recently grew with the arrival of his son a few months ago, so now he has a wife, two little ones, a dog and two kittens! In his spare time (which is almost zero with a house that full) he is trying to learn the guitar, play some PS4 and watch a little TV.
For the last seven years he has been developing iOS apps; he’s joined GCD as a Senior Developer and is continuing his great work with iOS but he’s already looking at new areas and skills he can merge into, one being React.
Both have already been persuaded to join the D&D team, so good luck in your next campaign!
