Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a globally adopted Cloud platform with a host of secure features and services. It’s an essential part of our development process and provides our clients with a secure, scalable and robust platform.
To maximise our knowledge, ensure best practice and take full advantage of the platform we joined the AWS Partner Network (APN), a global partner program for vendors and other service providers that offer cloud software services.
APN Consulting Partners are professional services firms that help customers of all sizes envision, design, architect, build, migrate, test, secure, manage, and optimise their workloads and applications on AWS. Simply, Consulting Partners help customers achieve their goals in the Cloud.
There are various tiers to move through, each with its own set of criteria and required experience levels. In October, we achieved AWS APN Consulting Partner Status (Select Tier) as the result of a long and thorough journey.
To achieve this accreditation our team had to upskill and achieve certain certifications as well as showcasing how we have deployed AWS.
Knowledge Base
- Five members of staff gained AWS Business Professional and AWS Technical Professional accreditations;
- Two gained AWS Foundational Certificates; and
- Two achieved AWS Technical Certificates.
Experience Base
It was necessary to demonstrate to Amazon a selection of launched projects where AWS had been deployed, detailing the customer’s AWS needs, what the role of GCD was in the project and what software applications & tools were used to support the solution. We also had to demonstrate the customer satisfaction of our clients involved in these projects.
We’re proud to have achieved the next tier in the AWS Partner Network, it will provide us with valuable resources; marketing and selling opportunities; and funding to build, market and sell with AWS.
