Welcome to the team John, Neal, James & Chris

John

And then there were 30. Yes……30! We are now officially a team of 30 here at gcd.

Over the past few months, we have added four really talented and great guys to the gcd team.

John
JJ

First up was John Barlow – or JJ as he is officially known around here. JJ joined us back in April as a Developer, from Bristol, where he worked as a Web Application Developer specialising in finance CRMs. He’s well travelled, a gamer at heart, a rock enthusiast, a bit of a petrolhead and is currently teaching himself electronics with a view to turning his next house into a futuristic home-automated behemoth!

Neal
Neal

Next in walked Neal McConville. Neal is our resident gamer, with a MEng in Computer Games Development. Since graduating in 2016, Neal has started and headed up two games development teams and worked in London as an Analyst Programmer. Having taken up the position of Junior Developer at gcd, Neal has also brought the number of Dungeon Masters amongst us to three!

James
James

In June we welcomed back James Anderson to the fold. James previously worked with us for a year on his placement from University and has returned to us for a short period following his graduation. We are genuinely delighted to have him back, even if it is only for a brief time. James is another avid gamer (there is most definitely a theme running here), a massive fan of all things Apple and is a budding sound engineer who has a penchant for Java. Welcome back Mr Anderson!

Chris
Chris

Last, but most definitely not least, is Chris Wilkinson. Chris started in June and is working with us for the summer, before he starts his placement year from University. Currently studying for a BEng in Software Engineering at QUB, Chris first came to our attention at a recruitment fair, where he not only tried out our code test, but won it, set a new record and won himself an ipad. So far, we know that Chris LOVES tea, he LOVES programming and is big into mapping. In fact, he spends a lot of time volunteering as a map editor at Waze, where he builds, updates, fixes and maintains the Waze map.

If you would be interested in joining our team, we would love to hear from you.
