Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some, but for the team here at gcd it proved to be a very lucky night indeed. Donned in our best suits, bow ties and dresses, we made our way to the 2018 DANI awards, having been shortlisted for two awards – ‘Best Campaign in the Third Sector’ for our work on an innovative digital platform for CashForKids and ‘Website of the Year’ for our work on rebranding, building and delivering the new Propertynews.com.
The award of ‘Website of the Year’ was hotly contested, with more applications than any other category and was designed to recognise outstanding design, user experience, and real business improvement. The team here at gcd were absolutely thrilled when it was announced they had won this award.
Speaking of the win, gcd Managing Director Andrew Gough commented “I am so proud that the team here at gcd have been recognised for their outstanding work on Propertynews.com. It was a complex project that genuinely pushed the boundaries of digital innovation within the property portal industry. As a development company, we are driven by a desire to achieve the impossible and to create digital products that people want to use and I am delighted that we have achieved this through Propertynews.com.
The website is fast, responsive, intuitive and has a world-class search facility. We are looking forward to seeing what is next for this portal.”

The fresh, new code and the huge scope to embrace new technology and features, made the build challenging but very rewarding. The team at gcd are delighted with the finished product and believe we have broken new ground and established a new benchmark in the property portal industry.”
The 2018 DANI Awards proved to be a fitting celebration of the extraordinary work produced by the digital industry in Northern Ireland with awards recognising digital innovation across many sectors, devices, as well as celebrating creativity and results from digital campaigns. It was a pleasure to be part of and we hope to have another outstanding project submitted in 2019.
