Marketing Executive

We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Executive to help us grow and develop all aspects of our marketing activities . From market research to campaign management; from digital product launches to customer relationship management - this is a great and varied role for an ambitious marketer in the thriving IT sector.

Established in 1999, gcd is a local software company – producing custom software solutions and digital products for both local and global brands. From mobile apps to saas platforms, consumer websites to enterprise products; we design and build clever solutions. As a result of continued business growth and the development of our own digital products, we are now in search of a Marketing Executive to join our creative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Executive will oversee the implementation of the marketing strategies for both the client services and product development businesses – including campaigns, events, digital marketing and PR
  • Conduct market research on sectors and trends to determine customer / market needs, using a mixture of desk and field research and other agencies, if required
  • Assist with the planning and attendance at key exhibitions, conferences, and other events – from identifying good fit events, through to booking and the creation of relevant promotional material
  • Run both inbound and outbound campaigns, across online and offline platforms, to raise awareness of all brands and generate quality leads
  • Create and develop marketing literature for all GCD products and services  – writing copy and editing and managing the production of both printed and online materials, including brochures, leaflets, posters, banners, advertising, case studies and presentations
  • Assist with the development and creation of corporate and product videos
  • Create creative and engaging content for all websites, social media pages and blogs
  • Assist with the design and creation of training material – including product demonstration guides and helpdesks
  • Oversee all internal and external communication and PR activities, including press release writing and agency management when appropriate
  • Liaise with key clients to garner detailed customer feedback, video testimonies and customer satisfaction reports
  • Update and maintain central CRM system – tracking all customers and KPIs


Need to have:

  • A degree in Marketing or Business related field
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a marketing role
  • Previous experience of running marketing campaigns
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK


Good to have:

  • Experience of working within the software industry or for a digital product / platform
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Experience in managing PPC campaigns
  • A working knowledge of SEO
  • Experience in the use of wordpress or other CMS platforms
