Thoughts from the team
This weekend the gcd offices will be taken over by the coders of the future, when we will be hosting the first event for a new Craigavon CoderDojo club. We are really proud sponsors of this club and are genuinely passionate about everything they aspire to achieve.
2018 was a great year for us here at gcd and we are delighted to be heading into 2019 with another four new faces in the team. Read more…
We at gcd are delighted to announce the launch of our new cloud-based ‘Fundraising CRM’ platform – Chariteer.
Developed from our base in Craigavon, and the product of over 15 years experience in the nonprofit sector; Chariteer has already been trialled and subsequently adopted by some of Northern Ireland’s best-known third sector organisations, including Fields of Life and Drop Inn. Read more…
Friday was a sad day for us at gcd, as we said a fond farewell to our very own Mr Anderson. What better way to wave him off in style, on the last day of summer, than with a BBQ. And not just any old BBQ, but a BBQ with homemade sausages, expertly ground, minced, flavoured and stuffed by our very own Andrew Cuthbert (Technical Director / Sausage Maker Extraordinaire)! And then there were 30. Yes……30! We are now officially a team of 30 here at gcd.
Over the past few months, we have added four really talented and great guys to the gcd team. Read more…
The team here at gcd were out in force this week at the tech event of the year, Digital DNA. Hosted at St George’s Market in Belfast, the two day event and exhibition attracted some of the biggest names in the business.
With the NI tech world in attendance, we seized the opportunity and hosted a panel of digital experts to discuss the oft taboo subject of ‘failure’ in digital projects – asking ‘Why Do Digital Projects Fail?’.
Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some, but for the team here at gcd it proved to be a very lucky night indeed. Donned in our best suits, bow ties and dresses, we made our way to the 2018 DANI awards, having been shortlisted for two awards – ‘Best Campaign in the Third Sector’ for our work on an innovative digital platform for CashForKids and ‘Website of the Year’ for our work on rebranding, building and delivering the new Propertynews.com.
Spring has finally arrived and with it brings a new Software Developer to the gcd. team – Steph Foster!
Fresh from Andor Technologies, Steph brings with her a wealth of experience in software engineering and we are delighted to have her on board. A passionate developer, problem solver and self confessed lover of algorithms, Steph is already making big strides with development to our church software – Omega Church.
When she’s not immersed in code, you can often find her (paint brush in hand) decorating her new house or looking after her growing brood of animals – currently comprised of three horses and one very demanding Scottish Fold Kitten called Shelby.
If you would be interested in joining our team, check out the gcd careers page for opportunities.
